Yellow Bridge Drumrora
McCabe Group were appointed to carry out specialist repair and rehabilitation works to an existing masonry arch bridge that had suffered deterioration to the spandrel walls and partial collapse of the parapet walls. The existing parapets, measuring approximately 400mm in height, were no longer providing adequate protection or durability.
The works involved comprehensive cleaning and vegetation removal, reconstruction of defective masonry using Roscommon limestone, reinstatement of wet-dashed finishes, installation of scour protection and drainage measures, and full reinstatement of the surrounding areas. All works were undertaken with careful consideration to maintain the historic appearance and functionality of the structure.
