On Site Safety

Site Inductions

All site workers and visitors receive a full induction before entering site which outlines site rules, safety risks, hazards and procedures

On Site Safety Equipment / PPE

At McCabe Group, we enforce strict PPE rules on every site to ensure the safety of all workers, visitors, and contractors. Wearing the correct protective equipment including helmets, high-visibility clothing, gloves, eye and ear protection is not optional - it is a vital part of our safety culture.

Health & Safety Documentation

At McCabe Group, we maintain comprehensive and up-to-date Health & Safety documentation on every site. This includes operative details & training records, equipment & machinery inspections, signed contractors Risk Assessment and Method Statements, site safety inspections and more.

Site Signage

Across all McCabe Group sites, we maintain a high level of safety signage to reduce accidents and incidents, raise awareness of hazards, and ensure that both operatives and visitors understand the rules on site. Our sites display a wide range of signage including PPE reminders, warning signs, prohibition signs, emergency information, traffic management, visitor instructions and much more.

Safety Briefings

Safety is reinforced every day through a combination of daily whiteboard meetings and regular toolbox talks. Our daily whiteboard meetings provide a quick, practical update on site activities, highlight potential hazards, and ensure everyone is aware of safety priorities for the day.

At McCabe Group, safety extends beyond our construction sites to every part of our operations. Employees receive all required safety training, including Manual Handling, Safe Pass, Working at Height, First AId and more to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to work safely in any environment.

We also maintain systems for incident reporting, investigation, and continuous improvement, while ensuring all subcontractors and contractors comply with our high safety standards. Through ongoing training, monitoring, and proactive management, we create a safe and responsible working environment across the entire company.
