Stormwater Diversion
McCabe Group acted as Main Contractor, taking full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of this complex civil and infrastructure project within a fully live operational facility. The project involved the installation of a 900mm diameter stormwater diversion pipeline, new manholes, diversion chambers, and a Class 1 bypass separator, alongside deep excavations, structural concrete works, heavy craneage, and full temporary works design. Live stormwater flows were safely managed throughout via over-pumping and diversion systems, ensuring uninterrupted site operations.
In addition to the core civil works, McCabe Group managed all mechanical, electrical, and ICA installations, integrating automated control systems, real-time monitoring, and alarm signalling to enhance environmental protection and operational resilience. Comprehensive traffic management and site logistics were implemented to safely maintain vehicle and pedestrian access throughout the works, with all affected areas fully reinstated on completion, demonstrating McCabe Group’s end-to-end capability in delivering complex utility and infrastructure projects.
