Comprehensive Structural Upgrades: Replacement of weakened steel members and application of fire-retardant intumescent coatings across the entire steel frame.

Traffic Management Improvements: Modern entrance/exit barriers, upgraded pay stations, and streamlined vehicle flow for enhanced user experience.
Aesthetic & User Experience Upgrades: Colour-coded lobbies, garden motifs, and louvre panels to improve navigation, safety, and visual appearrance.

Multistorey Car Park Refurbishment
McCabe Group successfully delivered the comprehensive refurbishment of Cavan Town’s multi-storey car park, commissioned by Cavan County Council. This project modernised the facility to enhance safety, accessibility, and overall user experience. Works included structural upgrades with replacement of weakened steel members and application of fire-retardant coatings, a complete overhaul of electrical systems including new lighting, CCTV, lifts, automatic doors, and car park payment technology, as well as traffic management improvements with entrance/exit barriers and upgraded kiosks. Aesthetic enhancements such as colour-coded lobbies, garden motifs, and louvre panels further improved the facility’s look and functionality.
Delivered in collaboration with local partners Alan Traynor Engineering Ltd and Callaghan Electrical, the project transformed the car park into a modern, safe, and fully accessible facility, supporting the town’s infrastructure and contributing to the ongoing regeneration of Cavan Town.
